Dear Friends

As we get through the winter time it is good to see the days getting a little lighter. With the very dark night skies we have had recently it has been amazing to enjoy the stunning full moon and to try and identify the different constellations.

Genesis 1:16
"So God made the two larger lights, the sun to rule over the day and the moon to rule over the night; he also made the stars."

God made these for us; being able to enjoy the sky day and night every day wherever we are in the world and whatever we are doing; everyone looking at the same moon and same sun - it never ceases to amaze me. Okay, some days it is not so easy to see the sky but we still have light! And now that things are opening up more and restrictions are easing, life seems a little brighter and lighter.

And as the days get lighter, we are approaching the season of Lent which this year starts on Wednesday 2 March. Many reflect on the beginning of Lent by choosing to give up something for the 40 days Jesus spent in the wilderness. Another option is to give themselves to a cause; perhaps volunteering. It is a chance to for us to take some to think and to pray; times of reflection are important to us all. Something some of us might reflect on is how much we have learnt - and I am still learning - in the last few years - and never thought we could!

Luke 1:37
"Nothing is impossible with God"

Every blessing,

Rona
