Christingle Song

The Christingle song below, to the tune of Jingle Bells, was written by one of our members and is shared here for others to use if they so wish for not for profit occasions.

A PDF version with piano music is also available.

Christingle Song (Tune: Jingle Bells)

Chorus:
Christingle, christingle, symbol of God's love;
O what joy that Jesus came, sent from heaven above
(repeat)

1. Orange at the core, is the world on which we live;
Jesus here was born, God's greatest gift to give.
Sticks with food to eat, point north, south, east and west;
For all seasons, Jesus is, a guide to do our best.

2. Ribbon bright and red, is the reason why we fuss;
Blood that Jesus shed, to show God's love for us.
Candle lights the way, and takes away our fear;
As Jesus came to teach and say, he's always with us here.

Earlier version:

Christingle Song (Tune: Jingle Bells)

Chorus:
Christingle, christingle, symbol of God's love;
O what joy that Jesus came as sent from heaven above
(repeat)

1. Orange at the core, is the world on which we live;
Jesus here was born, God's greatest gift to give.
Sticks with food to hold, four seasons they display;
Stories Jesus lived and told, a guide for us today.

2. Ribbon bright and red, is the reason why we fuss;
Blood that Jesus shed, to show God's love for us.
Candle lights the way, and takes away our fear;
As Jesus came to teach and say, he's always with us here.
